"If they run ya out of town, get out in front, and pretend it's a parade."

- Elaine Stritch

Neel Patrick Edwards (Neel Patrick, he/him) is a TONY AWARD-viewing performer, theatremaker, and communications specialist based in the Upstate of South Carolina. Originally from Spartanburg, SC, Neel Patrick has been captivated by all-things theatrical from an early age and rarely misses an opportunity to entertain... or burst into a song or two.

As an actor, Neel Patrick has been lucky enough to put his own spin on bucket-list musical theatre roles such as Max Bialystock in Mel Brooks’s The Producers (Joanne Woodward Award), Nicely-Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls, and, most contrasting, Dom Claude Frollo in the musical adaptation of Victor Hugo’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame (BroadwayWorld SC Award Nomination). He has been honored to be able to perform with Carolina venues and theatres such as The Flat Rock Playhouse, Greenville Theatre, Centre Stage, The South Carolina Children’s Theatre, the Younts Center for Performing Arts, and the Simpsonville Arts Center.

In addition to the arts, Neel Patrick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and applies his expertise as a freelance communications professional. In 2023, paired with a heavy interest in arts administration, he founded Hartworks Theatrics, a small not-for-profot theatrical producing organization based in the SC Upstate.

When he's not immersed in the world of theatre or crafting various communications strategies, Neel Patrick indulges his passion for all things Disney and the House of Mouse, particularly the magic of the Parks, where he finds the most joy.

The Art of Making Art

As a passionate theatremaker, I am dedicated to utilizing the power of live performance to entertain audiences with meaningful and impactful stories. Whether I am performing on stage or working behind the scenes, my ultimate goal is to create unforgettable work that resonates with and transforms audiences.

As a performer, I long to build a trustworthy and intimate relationship with audiences.

As an actor, I constantly seek new and challenging roles that allow me to explore and evolve as an artist. I firmly believe that the key to a successful performance lies in discovering the truth, authenticity, and essence of the material, bringing it to life in honest, captivating, and entertaining ways.

As a creator, I strive to craft dynamic and innovative productions that challenge the boundaries of traditional theatre. I strongly believe in the collaborative nature of theatre and actively seek opportunities to bring together diverse and talented teams, creating unique and unforgettable theatrical experiences.

I am deeply committed to the enchanting and ever-changing shared experience of live theatre, and I am excited to continue growing as an artist, dedicated to realizing my many visions and ideas on stage.
