Performer. Creative Professional. Disney Adult.
Neel Patrick Edwards is a performer, character actor, and creative professional based in the Upstate of South Carolina. A natural entertainer with a flair for the theatrical, he has built a reputation for bringing bold characters to life with humor, heart, and a distinctive point of view.As a performer, Neel Patrick has brought his unique energy and voice to a wide range of roles, leaving his mark on characters such as Max Bialystock in The Producers (Joanne Woodward Award), Nicely-Nicely Johnson in Guys & Dolls (Joanne Woodward Award), and the brooding Dom Claude Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame (BroadwayWorld SC Award Nomination). Most memorably, at 21, he became one of the youngest actors to play Max Bialystock in a professional regional production of Mel Brooks’s The Producers. He has performed across the Carolinas at notable venues including Flat Rock Playhouse, Greenville Theatre, South Carolina Children’s Theatre, Younts Center for Performing Arts, Centre Stage, and the Simpsonville Arts Center. In addition to his theatrical work, Neel Patrick has headlined various cabarets and concerts, most notably his "Christmas with Neel Patrick and Friends" series (BroadwayWorld South Carolina Regional Theatre Award Nomination for Best Cabaret/Concert/Solo Performance). In 2026, the next installment of the series will return to the Simpsonville Arts Center for its fourth consecutive year.Beyond performing, Neel Patrick is a skilled communications professional. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and offers freelance consulting services focused on accessible, user-friendly design and messaging. In 2023, he combined his love of theatre with his administrative experience to launch Hartworks Theatrics, a nonprofit dedicated to producing intimate, meaningful performance experiences.Outside of the theatre, Neel Patrick finds joy and inspiration in Disney—especially the magic of the Disney Parks—and is always exploring new ways to connect storytelling, communication, and live performance while nurturing and supporting the arts community in his hometown and beyond.
"If they run ya out of town, get out in front and pretend it's a parade."
– Elaine Stritch
BROADWAY WORLD
The cast is uniformly top notch, fully embracing the over the top absurdity of the piece. Neel Patrick Edwards infuses his Max Bialystock with every last drop of energy he can possibly muster. And then amps it up. Combining [the character's] cynicism with sparkling personality and crisp comic timing, Edwards makes the most of this showstopping role.

CAROLINA CURTAIN CALL
“Hunchback” obviously contains some religious devotional music, and overtones, but the Church does not escape Hugo’s brutal pen, painting our antagonist Dom Claude Frollo (Neel Patrick Edwards) as a brutal hypocrite, proselytizing to Quasimodo about resisting the carnal desires of adolescence, all the while blatantly (and aggressively) pursuing Esmeralda. Young Edwards embodies a man about three times his age here. His presence and persona in this dramatic turn is piercingly real and he handily dominates the proceeding whenever he is in a scene. Frankly, it’s been a long time since I have seen an actor just outright almost walk away with a show on this scale.
